Acupuncture Massage after Penzel

APM SymbolAcupuncture Massage after Penzel (APM) is the primary and most important treatment I practice. Contrary to classical acupuncture, no needles are used. I merely draw over the skin with a metal wand. How this works is best illustrated using a metaphor:

Imagine your body as a garden, with various plants growing in it. These plants are supplied by a system of water channels extending through the garden. Where water flows, plants blossom and thrive. Where one of these channels is blocked, however, the water floods the area before the barrier, and the ground behind that barrier is dry.

All bodily functions require the body's own energy, comparable to the water in our example, in the proper composition and amount, for their functioning. Like the water channels in the garden, the energy channels called meridians extending through the body can be blocked in some places.

By drawing the metal wand over the skin along the meridian, I can to stay in the metaphor "dig a hole into the barrier" so that the water can flow again and nourish all the plants.

Through the energy, circulating again in the meridians, the body can "repair" previously undersupplied areas, which can lead to sometimes surprisingly positive reactions in the whole body.

Many painful blockages and strains in the motor systtems of the body have their root causes in blockages of the smaller or larger joints of the spinal cord or in its basis in the sacroiliac joints. If the spine is slanted by such blockages, the surrounding muscles have to contract permanently in order to balance. In this case, one cannot stand straight or sit in a relaxed way. From an energetical perspective, these blockages are disturbances of the body energy flow that can be treated very gently using APM. When the energy flows again, the joint in question will unlock easily and without great effort, allowing the motor systems to re-balance.

In addition to APM, I use Farbpunktur nach Mandel. In this method, coloured light is applied directly to the acupuncture points, which not only gives a stimulus to the body but also the information contained in the light's colour.
